Run & Gun 2002 is in process through Thursday. Today (Wed) all groups got a second timed road course run - a quick one was run yesterday as insurance against the rain (and it POURED). This afternoon it's to the drag strip to get as many timed runs as possible. Concern is that it may rain on Thurs also.
Next years schedule is supposedly set - October 17, 18 & 19 2003 - that would be Thurs, Fri & Sat with the 20th (Sun) available if one of the events/days are rained out. Talk is to work in a cruise and maybe a vehicle show on Sunday that the kits would participate in.
All in all the event has been a blast - weather could be better - but, organization, hospitality and professionalism are higher than ever.
Kurt - if you see this, I don't have your number with me but obviously am in town...come on down tonight or tomorrow if you get a chance. Greg

Yep, it's a Lola. I didn't remember to bring the camera till Wednesday so I didn't get a pre-incident shot. I'm sure someone else will post pics of it before the accident (Dan?).

Around 48 cars. Jim said He thought He was first in Autocross and second on the road course and not looking forward to drag race portion. Jim looked very relaxed this year, the car was running great and I never saw the hood off of the car. Tom

Just got home from the Event,

The Lola was John ???'s that was put into the turn one wall.I took a full 360 there myself, not a real fun thing to do.
John and his frieds and family were Really nice folks, they also have the imfamous red gt350 mustang kit that is awesome. But, unfortunately he broke a right front spindle in that car at about 130 mph. I have never seen a wheel have a life of its own and gain energy as it bounced high along the front straight, everyone that had camera's were so stunned they forgot to tape it as it happened. No major damage on the vehicle and all were safe. All in all it was a fabulous event despite the lousy weather. I have some neat pics but to pooped to get them together. Promise sometime tomorrow.

Phil

PS Dan, Nice pics and was glad to meet ya even know your from "podunk Iowa"
