I've already trashed one engine with a flat tappet hyd. cam and don't want to repeat the same
with the roller cam. What are the suggestions for break in with the roller ? Thanks.

No break-in procedure is needed with a roller cam. Spin-up the oil pump to be sure you have oil in the top end, install the distributor and start it up.

Tim,
You do not need to break in the roller cam.
You've been in my car runs OK now over 17K miles...Cam was not broken in as they do with Flat tappet.

Hi Mikie !!! Thanks for the info guys. I had just been getting conflicting information on varying the RPM for 20 minutes as on the flat tappet. What I'm hearing is just put it in and go for it ? Thanks.
