Anyone know where I can run out to pick up a rivet spacer near Sherman Oaks CA... Want to start drilling tonight

I used one of these:

you can get one here: http://www.yardstore.com/index.cfm?Action=ViewCategory&Category=76

But, most Aircraft building sites sell them. Use "Rivet Fan" as the search words and you'll find plenty of web sites that sell them, or you might look at Aircraft supplies in the yellow pages.

my rivet spacing....

Good luck with the build!

You're wearing one! Take a pair of old underwear and cut off the elastic waist band. Mark the elastic at even increments. Drill through these marks. If you stretch the elastic, the marked increments will widen with even spacing.

By the way, you will never see 90% of the rivets you're installing once the car is done - not that it matters!

Neat tools are nice, but I spaced all of my rivets with a ruler/yardstick. Pete
