Here's my setup, FR 18:1 rack, rag joint eliminator, adjustable uppers, stock mustang lowers, FFR's pro shocks with stock (450# I think) springs, 17in wheels, cobra r brake setup, yokohama avs rubber.(no bump-steer kit installed) I have a question about the way the car handles rough road surfaces. To be non-technical it feels sloppy. Lots of steering wheel feedback and an over-all loose feeling. I've double checked mounting points for the steering gear, all tight. I'm wondering if this is the nature of the beast, which is ok though it may take some getting used to, or some suggestions on how I get a more confident feel over rough surfaces. I am not knocking the car at all, I love it, looking for constructive input.

Thanks in advance.

The car will provide more feedback when you eliminate the rag joint. Do you have the standard OEM R&P mounting bushings, or the sold units from Breeze? The latter will increase road feel.

Yes, I have the standard rack mount bushings. The car tracks great on smooth pavement, centered and sure, it feels better and better the faster you go, till the pavement gets rough. I never considered the rag joint as a damper of sorts, not that I'd go back to it, just an interesting thought. I just want a tighter feel over rougher roads if I can get it, I like the firmness and expect that but I want tight and firm. hmmmm....
