Under direction of Mark D. I build an RF shield for my Holley Sniper. He had experienced some interference from the distributor in other cars and recommended putting one on.
Found a scrap piece of aluminum, door trim, heat insulation and a toolbox drawer mat. Fabricated two brackets that mount to the Holley mounting bolts. They have two riv-nuts each to hold the shield. The shield has the mat on the front side and the heat insulation on the back side and trimmed out with the door trim on top and bottom.
Came out pretty good, and hopefully it will keep the demons out!

That looks like a MSD Ready-to-Run distributor which uses a magnetic pickup. This is why they went to a Hyper Spark with Hall Effect to eliminate those issues. However, if it works, great job!
Exactly what happened to me too. I had the MSD, and had a lot of weird problems. First I tried shielding all my wiring with braided copper shielding. It did help, but was still getting more weird blips and farts than I wanted. Finally gave in and got the Holley Dual Sync... problems solved!
