After going to the Reno Air Races for a number of years, I decided it's time.
Next year I'm going to the Pylon Racing Seminar in June and race in the Biplane Class in September as "Race 54".

Figured I'd better get it done!

Awesome, I wanted to do the same with the Pitts but never had the time, money, or interest come together at the same time.

I would love to see a Knight Twister in the race. Many years ago I watched an impressive demo by one but I think the plane looks too hot for most. The pilot gave it a good review and said it was a joy to fly. Keep us posted. I'm overdue to attend again, I've only been twice. :icon18:

I love this airplane.

I'll have to dig through some old picture albums to see if I have some shots of the KT from the demo. It was probable the Acro version with the 15.5' wing span and flying wires. The sound was pretty neat as it picked up speed in a dive. My Pitts was mostly prop noise but this KT really made some noise from the struts and wires.

I guess the race version was the "Imperial" like the one below:

It looks fast hanging there.

Those KT's are beautiful. I've thought about ordering the plans.
If I remember my history, they were designed around 1932.
