I removed the EGR spacer and valve. I am just going to let the electrical connection/plunger hang behind the motor. I have heard some folks depress the plunger half way and tape/tie wrap it. Others have done nothing.

What say you 5.0 gurus?

OK, I taped the plunger down half way and the car runs fine. I guess I will leave it that way. I do intend on getting a chip burned eventually. Thanks for the help.
