I removed the EGR spacer and valve. I am just going to let the electrical connection/plunger hang behind the motor. I have heard some folks depress the plunger half way and tape/tie wrap it. Others have done nothing.

What say you 5.0 gurus?

Lee,
I found (on my car) that if the plunger was all the way out or in the check engine light would be on. With the plunger at the half way point there was no light, ever.

You could also consider getting a new chip burned that ignores the signal from the EGR; then you can just cut the wires. My understanding is that if you don't get it right, the computer will not advance the timing.

OK, I taped the plunger down half way and the car runs fine. I guess I will leave it that way. I do intend on getting a chip burned eventually. Thanks for the help.
