Hello All
I am trying to sell my 68 mustang convertable so that I can purchase a factory five kit. Hopefully soon. I am going to buy a donor car in the meantime and store all the parts. I am currious about what reciepts I should save? bill of sale title vin plates. Will I need the vin# off the car when I title the Cobra to make the parts legal. I of course probably wont have the body anymore.

Steve

P.S. Any body in chicago area with a cobra please send a hello.

CHOOPS,
I have found that pictures, receipts, and a "build book" are worth their weight in gold. You do not need a title to the donor, only be sure that the VIN# is not on a hot sheet of stolen cars and the salvage receipt reflects the VIN# and the previous owners name/address/phone. The loose leaf plastic page cover build book is a good memory item for the attic for years to come. Keep it in the trunk the first few months of your escapades, the guy love lookin at it.

Absolutely save and catalog EVERYTHING!!!

You cannot be too careful in this process, as I found out. I had a title, bill of sale, photos, ALL major component numbers, and the recipt from the Junk yard that srcapped the thing in the end.
