James Creasy and some others have mentioned rebuilding the trac-loc inside the pumpkin on installing IRS. I've got the pumpkin, the rebuild kit (a collection of discs and plates and a bottle of liquid), and a Thursday deadline! Can I do this myself without special tools? What do I do, or is there a thread/site I can go to for a step-by-step? Thanks!

not a problem. i think i did russ's in about 20 minutes. you need a couple of hose clamps, a vice, a big hammer, and a (9mm?) wrench.

give me a call and ill walk you through it. drop it by and ill do it for you!

8mm! I broke a socket on my second one.

go to drivetrain then to 8.8 gear install by chris neighbors he outlines a t-lock rebuild he goes over the clutch arrangement options James prefers the factory method, I went with alternating. James has more experience with it than I though.
