I don't want ot mount the FFR rear view mirron on the dash. It sits too low to give a good view over the back of the body. Anybody try to put the same mirror on the windshield frame at the top. If you could drill holes to mount without striking the glass it would work well there. Anybod try this or have other ideas?

Mine is glued onto the glass. Since I didn't save the donor mirror, I went to AZ and bought a Raydot for about $12. I cut up the mounting post so that all I used was the piece that glues to the glass and the post and ball that attaches to it. It was real easy to do and it works much better.

I have a rear view mirror on the windshield and noticed the following behavior:

The rear view mirror will experience shaking as the the speeds increase. I don't think the windshield is the most stable of places to put a rear view mirror. (highway speeds)

At lower speeds the windshield doesn't move and the image is stable.

Yep Samauri is right, also the windshield bends back at high speed so your mirror is either set right for slow or high speed. I do have a second mirror mounted on the bow of my soft top which is a dramatic imporovement over the one on the dash while I've got the soft top on. Also I use a wide angle mirror on the bottom which doesn't exactly look period correct, but that doesn't concern me. Bob FFR 1182
