I was installing my three link suspension, and was just ready to put in the stock Mustang springs when I realized the diameter is way too big. The spring mounts welded on my car seem far too narrow to fit these springs. Is there something I'm missing?

Chris - are you talking about the spring mounts on the frame or on the lower control arms? The stock rear mustang spring is full diameter on one end (goes on frame mount), and MUCH smaller diameter on the other (goes on control arm).

Are you sure you're not looking at the mustang front springs? They're the same diameter from top to bottom.

Nope talking about stock rear springs not fitting onto frame. I cut 1 full coil off as they said to and the spring is still way too large in diameter...but mine has same diameter coils until the very end where it winds down

The pig tail goes down. When you cut the spring you didn't cut the pig-tail end did you?

Pig tail ends? my springs wind down on both ends if that is what you mean, the diameter gets smaller on both end of the spring, but even with the rubber grommets in place the springs are way too large. They are 5.5" and the spring seats are 4.5" is there something wrong here?

with the three link don't you have to use the coil overs?
