Wheels and tires MAKE a hotrod!
The attitude is in the wheels, tires and rake. And a hotrod needs attitude. I am getting ready to buy rubber and wondering how tall anyone has gone without fenders. Oh yeah, real hot rods don't have fenders. I'd like to see some photos of different tire/wheel sizes and especially if yours has something besides 305/35/18/ and 235/40/17 . I wish there was a whitewall tire available for 18 rears and 17 fronts? It would go just perfect with the 1956 Lincoln Continental Wisteria paint I am working on.

Any photos out there?

My setup seems fine but I have skinnys up front. No pics with the body on yet but I have had the body off and on a bunch in the last few months. You can't go much bigger without doing some mods.

The rear is 15x12 wheels with 26" tall 12" wide tires. The front are 15x5 with 26x6 for the 10 spoke wheels. I have a second set of fronts that match the rears and are 15x8. No tires for those wheels yet but they will be in the 24" tall and 8" wide area. They probably won't be MTs.

I agree about the fenders. That mod puts you in the street rod category with me. So does AC, power stuff, sound system, and maybe even wheels larger than 18". It's all opinion so call it what you like. :w00t::w00t:
