Hi folks. I am interested in bringing an in-depth "how-to" television series to a *national* cable motorsports channel. FFR has expressed an interest, and I'd like to gauge public interest as well before continuing.

This would not be the glossy type of program that was seen on D-I-Y television last year, but something you could follow along in your garage.

I'd like to hear comments and suggestions from the folks in this forum. Drop a line to FFR if you'd like as well.

Thanks

Maybe I'll run into one of them at the Post Office, and they'll let me drool all over their cars...

WOW! You fellows (and ladies) certainly are the friendliest bunch of car guys! Try this at your local Ferrari club...

That's sounds like a great idea. If you need any help from the FFCars.com crew, let us know. One thing you should know; FFCars.com is now averaging about 32,000 hits PER DAY! This month we may hit over 800,000 hits. So there is A LOT of interest in these little cars.

Oh yeah, this site has only been up since the end of January.

How do you spell ABSOLUTELY POSITIVELY?! I'm getting ready to pull the trigger, and such a show would be an inspiration to those of us who aren't at the 100%-confident-in-their-ability stage. It would also spur quite a few extra sales, I'd imagine. What would a realistic time frame that such a series would actually make it on the air, should you decide to go forward?

Chris,
Asking the guys here if they'd like a tv show about FFR cars is a no brainer. If you really want to gage public opinion about the feasibility of such a show you should post on some of the other car forums that don't cater to Cobra enthusists. The people like us who love these cars make up a rather small percentage of the viewing public.

I wish you well with your venture. I presented a proposal to Speedvision a couple of years ago to see if they were interested in a show about kit cars that I wanted to produce. They declined, saying that they had done enough shows about Cobras and Cobra replicas. Perhaps you will have better luck.

Cheers
Jim

I want to be on the show! I am building my 19th, FFR 3623. We have done a hundred body preps and double that in wire diets.

The build segments that I could put to rest are the body seams and the wire diet. The seams are a no-brainer. We still use West Systems for a number of reasons and I have experimented with other marine products.

The wire diet is more complicated but it can be explained in a way so that most can do it. With that said I'm not a bit worried about putting myself out of business.

Will hawaiian shirts and flip-flops be appropriate attire?
