Hello
anyone have a fix or creative solution for mounting the power distribution box? Or relocating power steering resevoir to make room for the power distribution box? Or any bracketry that would help mount the power distribution box?

Thank you very much

Hi KB519, I moved my powersteering reservoir to the driver side panel. I also have the hydroboost hoses and powersteering hoses relocated to the driver side panel as well. This would free up some space for your power distribution box. My donor is a 2003 mach 1. I had to modify my cooling system to make room.

Hello KB519,
This may not work for you since you are using the power steering pump/reservoir and I am powerless(!), but I bought the bracket from a scrap yard and installed box on the F-panel. It could go forward or lower in my car because of the space I have.

I was thinking of fabing up some kind of bracket to hold the box in that general location, I must first relocate the PS reservoir
thanks for the picture

that look great, did you have to replace the hoses on the PS tank or where they long enough?

Here is a picture of where I placed mine. The build is a MK4 with the 4.6L DOHC engine. The harness was dieted by Art at WireDiet.
As suggested, I installed a remote reservoir for the PS pump. I made a bracket that bolted to the chassis upright.

KB519, I bought about 4ft of 5/8 hydraulic compliant hose to connect the large port under the PS reservoir to the power steering pump. I then cut it to the desired length.

The other port at the bottom of the PS reservoir requires a 3/8 hose. I bought some transmission cooler hydraulic hose and a T-fitting. I needed to junction the reservoir with the hydroboost and steering rack.

These are low pressure connections and can be held in place with worm gear clamps.

You are most welcome KB519. I'm glad I was able to assist. Next is the fun part relocating and having to work with that awful smelling ATF. :) Good luck and be safe.
