I had to copy it and upload it to club photo so that it will display.. maybe the web site blocks you linking it to another site...

I think that the carrier of your web site will NOT allow you to 'Link' a photo.... See my post above!

Keith,

I went to the cobra garage, and tried to post one of my build photos, thinking that maybe your photo was corrupt. However, I could not post either. I will let Gene know tonite, when we try to flare some brake lines.

See Ya

Bill, it's amazing how with only a few keystrokes, people can see what you're feeling. I was reading your other thread and can almost feel myself your pain and frustration. But, KEEP ON GOING!!! You will have an awesome ride ANYWAYS!!!

About the posting of your photos here, I was making some tests, and I think the problem is NOT on your side but here on the forums side. Somehow the UBB software (the software that manages all our posts here) is getting confused with something in that URL (and my guess is either the apostrophe (sp?) or the blank (%20) in your directory in that server (Bill's Cobra). I would try to change your directory to something without these characters and try it again (something like BillsCobra).

I know it's not your side, cause I made a simple HTML page here on my desktop, linking to your photo, and it comes right up. Also if the problem were on your side, you would get something like this:

Bill, not sure why you are having a problem.

Try using this phrase to post <.....img src="http://www.cobragarage.com/Images/Bill's%20Cobra/filename.jpg".....>".

Do not use the periods (.....) before and after the <>. I just put them in here to keep the image from displaying. The below photo is posted using this technique.

Well, the problem is that if you do it using the
button in the reply page, it only asks you to "enter the complete URL of the image you're trying to post", this is a javascript (little browser program) that then inserts special markers in your post, which in turn gets processed by the UBB software to insert the actual link in the finished html page.

The reason your approach works, Gene, is because you are completely bypassing the UBB processing (which in my opinion has a bug with this type of URL containing either apostrophe or blank), and you're writing the HTML yourself, which later on gets properly translated by the viewer's browser. Sooo, yes, he can do it like you said (a pain) or he can change his directory and do it using the UBB way.

Just my $.02 of course ;)

Bill, if you want to use Gene's method, don't use the
button, just write what he says directly in your reply box.

One more try, and then I hang myself with the battery cable from my FFR kit.
