[FFR3247]

I either am doing something wrong or these pieces are formed wrong. These came labled and if you try to put them in the side the are labled for the bend is sticking out towards the wheel. I tried swapping sides to get the bend right but hte piece isn't even close to fitting. If you have pics please post.

They could be labeled wrong, Galt's front one's were backwords. Look at the picture in the manual of the car without the body on and you can see how they shold be installed.

My panels were labeled wrong. If you look in the build manual, you can see a picture of the panel in place. The panel has two bends on it and the "center" section of the panel gets wider towards the bottom.

Is it best to mount the splash guards before or after the body is mounted?

I mounted mine after the body was on. That way everything is where it needs to be and you will be able to get the panels to fit the way they should.

I only had to trim a little from the drivers side panel;otherwise, they went right in.

I just installed my drivers side panel today and I know what you mean about not fitting. I must have looked at that panel for an hour before I figured out how it fit. The trick is you have to bend the bottom portion of the panel back towards the wheel, it doesn't look like it will work, but this forms a curve that fits just inside the bottom of the wheel opening. also, when you put the panel in, put the bottom in first and then slide the top in place, After it's in place put a rivet at the top and bottom then line up the bottom so the bend is flush with the fiberglass and put a rivet in from the bottom to hold it. It's hard to get the bulb trim not to stick out of the wheel opening but after it's installed you can work it back so it's not too noticable.
