scrub the heck out of the plastic with warm soapy water and a brush. Then some armor-all or black magic tire stuff and it will look nice.
Painting My Gas Tank
I have a very clean tank that I pulled at the salvage yard. I am currently planning to POR-15 that tank. I assume I do not need the grey foam padding that is on the top of the tank when I install into the FFR?
Also, I have read all the past threads about painting the plastic tank guard and it sounded like the results were mixed. Mine is a little scuffed up and I was hoping to paint it black. Any suggestions on paint type?
