Any reason why I shouldn't paint the Catalytic Converters with POR-20 (Black Velvet) when I do the Side pipes?

Perry,

I had my side pipes powder coated, and the coating burnt off just past the cats. Unless the por-20 will withstand more than 300 degrees I doubt it will stay on.
