Hi Ken,

My wife and I are working on restoring a 69 Camaro. As you know, some body panels are bolted together and thus have gaps between them. Do you recommend painting those part separately and then reassembling after paint? Or do you prime and paint over the pieces when already joined (bolted together)?

It is her car, and she is thinking about either a pearl or metallic burgundy (she named her car Marilyn Merlot already). I seem to remember that metallic had to painted on the car because of the way they lay down when painting, kind of like a grain? This is what leads me believe that the panels should be bolted together, but I'm just not sure...

Thanks!
