YES ! This is no replica. The Ultima is far out the best and most expensive kit available in the U.K and maybe the world. This kit was the car MC. Laren got inpired by to build the fastest car in the world. Don't get fooled by the price. We're talking at least U.S.$ 80.000 to put in (well)
on the road. Building a GT40 is far cheaper

I was interested in one a year ago. I even talked with their rep in London, who said (at the time) they only offered the kit to U.S. residents thru their U.S. rep. When I talked with the U.S. rep, he said the car only came turnkey minus for something like $70K.

I saw both the coupe and roadster versions at the Knotts Berry Farm Kit Car Show in April, but didn't inquire as to the price.

You might want to take a look at the GT40 from Roaring Forties, ERA, or CAV. I think they are better looking. My $.02

Ultima had both the Can AM and GTR at Knotts this year. I went by and saw them. Drool drool drool...

The price i believe was in the 70K range for a turnkey minus....I over heard. I didnot ask as I knew I could not afford.

Ultima offers a great package for European buyers.
They chopped their kit in little pieces you can affort. But at the end you payed the price anyway

27K maybe for PART of the Kit...

As has been said, look at sinking about 80K into it at the end of the day.

I heard of some one in the US buying from the UK the price that UK customers pay but the guy payed his own shipping. I know there are people in the US who bought their Ultima as a kit. That turn key minus thing in Calif. for ~$75k sounds like a ripp and less fun. I'd love to build one of these someday with a 3 rotor. After all I am a divout rotor-head.

I love the Ultima Can-Am. I'm wondering if a white one would look enough like a mid-60's Chaparral to license in California under SB-100?
