The assembly of my new lift is going ok, but has been interrupted a few times for trips to Homer to replace missing hardware. My question for anyone with one of these lifts is this - what's the red lever for that mounts between the motor and the reservoir? Mine is loose and free spinning with 2 jam nuts locked onto the shaft.

Tom, I had that same question with my lift...
turns out that you pull OUT on the red handle to let the lift down. I discovered this by trial and error while trying to figure out how it worked!

Wow, I didn't expect that answer, but it makes sense. Thanks Jack. Tomorrow's the day I finally get the Cobra out of harms way, away from rakes, shovels, bikes and neighborhood kids playing hide and seek!
