Extended warranty, my butt. I'd demand a new car with 0 financing. Kid should be sent to jail. (help make the world a better place, cut his "thing" off, we don't need any more like him out there...)

Not the sharpest tool in the shed.

This thing is on every car forum on the net. He should practice this new phrase..."would you like fries with that".

WOW! it gets more interesting with persons from different boards with different makes of cars jumping in to post their opinions and even calling the Dealer's GM to express their point of view...
Poor guy got fired and the dealer is going to loose many customers...

You shouldn't be surprised. I once had a car being serviced at one of the most respected Ford/Lincoln/Mercury dealers in the USA. Those who live around here can guess who.

After my complaint when they had fixed one thing and broke three, they told me, "Hey, we have a lot of techs. Not all are good." Seriously!

Awe inspiring, no???

I agree,,, you never know what people do to your pride and joy! He I hope WILL be fired... she should ruin his life by being a mechanic... I would have no regrets nailing this "PUNK", not one bit... ALWAYS check your milage before and after you drop it off at ANY service station...... Hope she asked for his termination letter and went straight to FORD to see how this will never happen again!

I once had a Vega with an Lt1 350 in it. I dropped it off at a tire store for some new tires
I got a call a little later from the shop the manager telling me that my car had broken down, and where do I want to tow it to!??
I got a ride to where the car was to find the car up against a jersey barrier, Its left rear axle, a shortened 12 bolt mind you,was lying in the road, about 70-80 yards behind the car. Walking back another 100 yards I found 2 very black Posi tracks about 150 feet long!
The manager told me the worker had taken the car for a test ride to make sure that the tires were balanced. I then pointed out that my old tires were still on the car and that they had not yet had any need to road test ,except of course, to fry the heck out of the old tires
The manager insisted that they were not responsible for my car --breaking down--
BEWARE!

Shawn, what happened in the end?

When I was a kid my dad owned an AAMCO. A (short lived) manager once blew up a really nice Mach 1 with a 428 CJ and 4 speed on the 'test drive'. I understand he missed the shift into 4th at over 100.

Links are working, kinda. The overload is incredible right now. Enthusiasts from all different brands, nearly every message board, and media is jumping on. Wouldn't be surprised at all to find mass media taking a stab at the story for a quick ratings hit. We'll see at 6...
The only thing holding the story back is the servers...

Its not just Ford. The lady that runs my local "Lube and Tune" took her brand new black on black C5 in for a sticky driver's window. Later that day she was downtown and saw HER CAR going through the local McDonalds drive through. Two techs sitting in HER CAR smoking and ordering fast food!

People.....

What an idiot! Parents of a friend of mine had a similar experience several years ago. They took their new Olds for minor repairs just before Memorial Day weekend. They received a call on Friday from the dealership stating that the car wouldn't be finished until Tuesday. When they went to pick up the car on Tuesday, they found the car had 400 more miles, scratches, foot prints on the hood and beer bottles inside. You guessed it, the service advisor had taken the car to Indy for the race. To make matters worse, my friends father ran a company that purchased several heavy duty trash trucks from the dealership each year. Needless to say, the dealership bent over backwards to take care of the problem. The employee was fired, criminally prosecuted and forced to pay restitution.
