A buddy of mine is looking to build a replica Grandsport Vette. I know there's only a couple kits available.
Anyone know who makes these kits?

http://www.grandsportreplica.com/ is the only one I know of. I saw the one lap car at Summit Point and Carlisle and it was pretty sweet.

I *believe* ERA bought the molds and tooling for the old D&D Grandsport. I don't think they are selling one though. Maybe Bob Putnam will shed some more light on this if he checks in.

What running gear is it based on? The guy that is helping me build my FFR is a Vette nut. I'll bet he'd like to see this!

The GSR car was smack in front of the Breeze booth at Carlisle - so I stared at that car for most of 3 days. I'm a Ford fan from way back, but I have to say I really really really liked that car. It looks way better in person than in pictures. A very high quality finished product.
The people were nice to talk to as well!

I think D&D may be making them again. ERA bought D&D plans(?) and tried to change several items to make it a more production friendly product but they either gave up or the product developement is moving very slowly. D&D makes a nice setup but I think they always struggled with meeting delivery.

The ERA guy in charge of the Grand Sport project had a heart attack. So, the project is on hold indefinitely.
