I drove my FFR to work today, as I do most any day it's not raining. Pulling into the parking lot, I had to sit and wait for a tractor trailer driver trying, unsuccesfully, to back his trailer up to our dock. He finally jockied it into position and I was able to drive around the truck and park my FFR.

As I climbed out, the driver was making his way toward my car to have a look. We exchanged pleasantries and he looked the car over for a few minutes. He struck me as knowing more about Cobras than the average gawker because he immediately recognized mine as a replica. He proceded to tell me about his good buddy who builds Cobras.

According to him, his buddy bought the ORIGINAL MOLDS from Carroll Shelby when he quit making Cobras! I didn't have the heart to set the poor guy straight. hehehehe

Wade, knowing old CS, the story might be true, picked up the molds the same day he picked up the bridge he bought also

You never know, when Shelb American had it's year long fire sale, a set of molds for the 427 were sold as an item and another set had disappeared, cuz they were in sections, not the "full shell" technique we use today. If I can find the Friedman photo that shows one in the background, I'll eMail it to you Wade, don't know how to post yet, failed too many time to spend the time retrying.

Sorry, I should clarify. This dude was implying the original 60's Cobras were fiberglass, and that his bud got the "original" molds.
