I am using the vintage guages. The set came with an oil temp. guage. My question is, Where does the sending unit conect to the engine? I've got the oil pressure guage hooked up but can't seem to find a place for the temp. Thanks, Raybo

If you've got the donor 5.0 oil pan, I've heard of folks who replace the donor Oil Level sending unit on the side of the pan with the Oil Temp.

I ran mine to the remote oil filter, which is not the stock FFR. There are unused in and out ports that have threaded plugs that match the oil temp piece. If you go to the oil level sensor in the pan, i believe you have to drill it out and re-thread it.

good luck

I think Fortes sells an adapter for the stock pan or knock the gut out of the low oil sensor and tap with a 3/8 pipe tap. Theres a post on this somewhere.

I have one of Mike's adapters that goes between the block and oil filter with a fitting for the sensor to thread into it.
