On Saturday a few of us got together for a cruise through Ohio's Amish country. It was a postcard gorgeous day and I think a good time was had by all. We started out at Lexington and took some twisties over to Millersburg where the ladies did some shopping. About the time the guys eyes started to glaze over we took off for Charm Ohio and had a great meal at the Chalet in the Valley. From there it was off to the Wendell August Forge where we did some more shopping and then broke up and headed home. Thanks to Dale and Michele Ryba for pulling it together. Here are a few pictures. If anyone else has more email them to me and I'll stick them on the OFFROG web site.

Paul, when are you going to paint that thing?

Wish I could have been there. I actually stood in my garage and thought about you guys on Saturday . . . . AS THEY WERE DRAGGING MY DONOR AWAY.

OK, so I didn't get to go to Amish country. But I did have a productive week. I ordered my kit on Monday!!!!!!! And on Saturday I sold and parted with what awas left of my donor.

I'll be there next year! And from the way it looks I'll probably have my car painted before Paul does.
First, I'm not going to paint it. Second, why paint in the summer when I can be driving it and then sit the nice new paint job in the garage 3-4 month because it is too cold to drive? DV is going to do the bodywork and paint;late fall or early winter. In the mean time I'm enjoying myself. I built it to drive it. And I'm driving it. 2500 miles since June 7th!
Great pictures! If you post one with the FFR's and no words, I'll link this to the front page of www.ffcars.com I think people will like to see this post!
Thanks for posting this John. Since you remembered to bring your camera and I didn't.

Don't let them pick on you Paul. You were our before example. :D
Besides, where would Rick have been if you were both painting your cars???

I'll say one thing. I never saw so many buggies out before. They were everywhere.
It's always fun trying to pass a buggy on hilly curvy roads with a line of 5 Cobras & 1 60 T-Bird (my buddy) and not freek the horses.

Thanks Bill, That would be great. I wish I would have got some better shots but I was pretty busy driving. It was a great day

Paul, we are just giving you a little friendly grief! I was out at DV's today. He was putting in a new paint booth. Your car will look super awesome when he is done with it. Keep on truckin' or should I say Cobra-in'?
