I finally ordered my MkII kit today. After 2 years of reading, dreaming, thinking, praying, I finally did it. :D

Options as follows:
Carbon Fiber Hood Scoop
Body Cut outs
Powder coating of chassis
front tubular control arms
IRS
Side Exhaust 4 port
351 Headers
Hood Hinge Assy
Seat track
Leather
Blank Dash

Pickup date is June 8.

Sandra at FFR is great to talk too. She initialy told me a delivery date of May 25. Then I mentioned that I wanted powder coating. No big deal. I'm not ready anyhow. I have 1 month to do honey-do's.

Sorry for rambling. I'm a happy camper.

See ya

I know how excited you feel.

I just took delivery April 14th.

The kit sure goes together great. It is fairly simple to do.
Good luck

Congratulations, the build is very enjoyable. Don't be in a hurry to get to the next step. Look at each part as single project and complete before moving to the next "project". You don't have to follow the manual exactly so you can work around any problems or back orders you might have. Pace yourself and don't forget to flowers to you wife/girl friend that FFR recommends. You can get so involved with the build that nothing else (family/job) seems important. It is and make sure you thank you wife/girl friend for their support. You'll have our, but you'll need theirs. Good luck

Way to go, Rob! I was wonderin' where you stood on the project's masterplan. Glad to hear you're out of the gates come June 8th!

Amen on the honey-do's. My car has been at the painter's for a do-over since Feb. That's left me with an empty garage and a mile-long list of non-automotive projects. The warm spring days have been coming & going, and I just keep beavering away. :(

Can't decide if I'm banking "Get out of jail free" cards for this summer, or just paying back for all the hours logged in the garage building the thing.

Keep us posted!

Bill G,

I'm planning on having Stewart Transport ship it to me. After I pay to get out there, stay the night, and rent a truck, Stewart Transport is cheaper.

$hit. I didn't sleep at all last night. All I think about is the build.
