I think that car would look so Kick A$$ with a 16" solid flat black stripe! I like it the way it is but for a more senister effect the black stripe definitely!
Very cool surprise this morning when I saw my car in the main page!! Thanks Bill!!
To answer some questions:
-Its Hugger Orange, Grabber Blue, Wimbledon White, and Raven Black
-The rims are powdercoated flat black(along with the jacks and other metal). I love the old racing Cobras, and they'd spray the Magnesium wheels flat black. It was a hard decision, but I'm so happy in the end.
-No special lighting, just a Nikon D60 and lots of in-camera tweaking
-picture was taken up on Angeles Crest Hwy
This picture makes me sad though, since it was the last time I drove up Angeles Crest Hwy 2 before the Station Fire started. Angeles Crest is now closed indefinetly. All the guradrails burned off, all markings, signs, etc. I've read that the actual road surface is fine though. Hopefully they can open it by next summer.
Very well done. It looks like you put a contrasting color on the seat piping. Could you provide some details & pics? Also, how did you get the plastic coating off of the rims prior to powder coat?
