I just picked up a used Challenge car and will do track events with it. One question , my car does not have O2 sensors. Is that normal for a race or track Challenge car?

O2's go closed loop at wide open throttle. Since that is where we spend most of our time, they are of no use in a challenge car. Removing them has no effect on performance.

O2 sensor

Thanks. That's what I was thinking as this car was used in Challenge Car racing for a number of years. It's yellow Anth a black hood and was raced at Mid Ohio and other East tracks, you may have seen it. So thanks, I won't spend the time and $$$ adding not needed O2 sensors to my "new to me" track car.

Thanks. Eric is a great guy. I'm taking the car to a NASA Sebring track event Sunday. Here in south Florida we are lucky to have 4 local tracks, Sebring, Daytona, Miami-Homestead and Palm Beach International. And Florida winter weather is great for an event.
Thanks Paul
