Bummer -- nasty wreck from the sounds of it. Doesn't say anything about seat belts, but given that both people were ejected, I doubt they had the harnesses on. Don't know if that would have changed it, but folks, buckle up! Hope some more news comes out about the victims and the vehicle.

Cheers, John

Judging from the "accuracy" of reporting these days I wouldn't doubt it if it was a replica and the media just looked up the cost of a 66 Cobra and found the originals and used that price.

Too bad about the accident but if they were traveling at a high rate of speed and were ejected (no harness) they were asking for trouble. Really sad though.

What a shame. It's not the first report of someone recently being seriously injured or killed in a Cobra when a "high rate of speed" was involved. Our cars are fast and very inspiring, and can get all but the most experienced or mature into real trouble, real quick. At the risk of sounding like a preaching old fart, *get a helmet and a passenger rollbar, and do it at the track (HPDS)under safe and controlled circumstances, - where "high rates of speed" are acceptable and belong.
