Best idea: lose'm. Cap the water pump return, and remove the temp sensor from the pipe and put it directly into the intake manifold hole where the pipe was previously mounted. This assumes that you are blocking the EGR circuit and wont need to run coolant to cool the throttle body spacer.
Plan B, get your parts guy to let you browse his wall of hoses, odds are something will be useable for the two diameters.

Are you sure that you don't want a heater? Phoenix must get cool in the winter--San Diego does.

First question, have you ever owned a convertible? I am guessing you haven't. That being the case, you will find that you use the heater very often. If the temperature gets below 70, but you want the cruise with the top down, you can, so long as you have a heater. Get one.

I agree with Bill, if it's too cold to drive it tonight (50 degrees?), you need to get a heater: you'll get so much more use out of the Cobra.

The Vintage Air unit that FFR supplies is available from www.hotrodsusa.com for about $190.

Get one. You'll thank us later.

Don,

It's not cold out....I just got back from a short run.

There is a bypass hose made to fit. It even has different diameters on each end. I got mine at a NAPA store.

My understanding is that Napa Auto parts sell them. I had seen a previous post that even gave the part number, I am unable to find it. My donor had the bypass hose on it. Good luck

I believe the upper water pump hose is necessary as a bypass to the thermostat. The lower hose outlet can be blocked off.

Jeff Collins at Whitby Motors had the box heater for a little over 100$.

Get the heater, You will be glad you did.

THE BYPASS HOSE.... DO NOT ELIMINATE THE BYPASS HOSE. It allows water to be circulated inside the block/heads before the thermostat opens.
