As far as I know on an 89 5.0 the fuel system is supposed to be pressurised all the time. Mine isn't. I've got the correct reading when it's running but nothing after shutdown. The injectors are new. Any ideas? Thanks, Mark
There is a check valve in the fuel pump that should keep the pressurized fuel in the line from bleeding back into the tank. if the check valve doesn't work it's no big deal. Like Scott said, as soon as the key is turned on the pressure comes up. My fuel pressure bleeds to zero about 10-15 minutes after engine shut down. Hasn't caused any problems in 3600 miles.
