I have been working in my spare time for the past year creating a site that can be used to store pictures, build a website for your car, and give access to indexed, searchable information SPECIFIC TO THE FFR ROADSTER.

Go check it out. Get registered. Add your car. It's FREE. With your help, we can create the world's most complete database of FFR's. This database will allow you to do searches on any combination of criteria. Here are a few examples:

Show me all FFR's with:

or any combination you desire; these are just a few examples I made up off the top of my head.

Thanks for the kind words and the help testing, guys. This database will be as usefull as we all make it, and we're off to a good start!

Here are the major problems with the site so far:

• Uploading Cover Page image is not working for everybody. I think I know how to fix this one.</font>
• When you try to add a value, my administrative tool is not working properly. Your choice may or may not get selected for you.</font>
• Some people are having problems linking pictures from other sites, probably due to bad URL's. I'll add some validation logic.</font>

I'll start working on fixing these things tomorrow. Until then, bear with me.

OK, what's "free for a limited time" mean?

Do you plan on charging to post pics later and if so how much?

Good question Russ.

I will definately keep the basic membership free. This will encourage people to add their cars to the database even if they already have a website of their own.

I will probably start charging a nominal fee for the picture storage. The rates will depend on how much revenue can be generated from the advertisements, and the site traffic. I have no idea how much bandwidth this site is going to take. At any rate, I would expect to charge something like $1 per month. 12 bucks a year for picture storage seems reasonable to me.

There will be NO fees for ANYONE until the site is in its final release and all of the bugs have been worked out; probably around January.

I had a small glitch this morning. Fred, you will have to re-enter your information. Check your email for details. Sorry for the inconvenience.

Here are some of the improvements I plan on making in the upcoming week or two:

1. Improve the Add Value tool. Some of your car's attributes may not be correct. It wouldn't hurt to check them.

2. Allow editing of the cover picture, and don't require it just to register

3. Allow deleting of a car

4. Print the entire profile for each car so user's know all the details of the car they're looking at.

5. Any suggestions?

I have fixed the buttons so the site now works with Netscape. I added a button so you can delete a car. The site seems to be pretty stable at this point.

Anyone got any suggestions for enhancements?
