Yup, thanx guys. It sounds like a real beastie. Two problems, one was the obviuos with the timing being too retarded and the other was plug wires.
I had bought a set of 10.5 mm taylor wires thinking bigger was better. After putting an ohm meter on them they registered between 110 and 160 ohms resistence, I then measured the resistence on the 8.8 wires on my old motor and found it to be around one ohm. I switched the whole set of wires and it cranked right up.

Thanx for all the help. :D

Lemme write that down...Taylor wires...ok, thanks.

About a year or so ago Crane Cams had a huge clearance on all their plug wire kits. (I think they stopped making them) I bought two 8mm kits for $10 each. I shoulda bought a million of them.
