Anyone familiar with this company? I see that they apparently have taken the steps to allow their kits to imported into Canada.

I can't figure out exactly why their starter kit is over $69,000? You basically get what you would get from FFR's base kit, from what I can see. To meet the DOT requirements they aren't including anything extra in the way of suspension, etc., and it's still a fiberglass body, not aluminum.

Why so much $$:confused1: Is this a frame and body built by Shelby American?

Looks like Al Beix is helping them out, at least with advice to Canadian customers. Maybe he will see this thread and fill in some blanks.

Could simply a frame, and a fiberglass body, and the few other items that they include in your purchase, actually warrant a CSX VIN?

I would have thought that even though the frame may be made by SA, (and that is not exactly clear), it still wouldn't be a CSX car by rights.
As to it's value down the road, as an "owner built" car, it would ever attain the value of a SA built CSX car.
Price still seems a little stiff to me, even if it is a SA built frame, and body..:001_rolleyes:

I saw that ad listed months ago and thought the same thing and got excited thinking there may be a way for me to own one yet until I saw the price tag. They are really sticking it to any Canadian customer who is foolish enough to order one. Its a shame that a business would openly rape a unsuspecting Canadian enthusiast . Its funny you can purchase a roller of ebay right now for $87,000 minus engine and trans.
