Im looking for a driveshaft shop that can cut down and balance a strange chromemolly driveshaft. was going to use s.s. bearing but was warned not to.
the car is making 1200 hp and sees highway use so it needs to be done correct.
any sugestions?

We use cockcroft co for our race car driveshafts they are located on 33 waterman ave East Providence, RI phone 401-438-3650. I used them this spring to lengthen my drive shaft when I converted to a big block.

I just had a driveshaft shortened and balanced at Cockroft last week. Great service, they had it done the day after I dropped it off.

I suggest you use Denny's Driveshaft (Dennys Driveshaft and driveline parts High Speed High RPM Balanced Steel and Aluminum Drive Shaft Specialist). Ya I know it's more money but it's not one of those areas of your car you want to worry too much about saving money (1200HP Yipes!!!).
