I am in the middle of retrofitting the IRS cages to my bare MKII frame. Need pictures of the welded lower cage where it sits on the 4" round tube. The picture in the manual is no help, but I'm looking for the same basic angle shot. If someone has a MKII with IRS from the factory, and still is in the assembly phase, I sure would appreciate a couple of pictures. This would help with my peice of mind factor considerably. Its time to lay down some welds on this thing, and I want to be sure everything is just right.

Thanks

Jeff E.

I'll be getting mine delivered in a week and a half and I'd be happy to send you a photo then but something tells me you want it sooner. Let me know if you still need it next week.

Jeff,

Which picture do you need? I'll get them for you this afternoon when I get home.

This is the best I have right now.

Fred: Thanks for the offer, but my frame is going to the welder this weekend.

Ben: Thanks for replying. What I need is a clean, easy to see shot from the rear of the car, down low visualizing the backside of the 4" tube. Basically right where the lower cage is welded to the 2'x3' upright and the 4" tube.

I hope that makes sense.

Thanks again

Jeff,

I didn't get the pics last night. I'll get them this afternoon at the latest. They'll be available this evening. I've got a slow 56K connection at home.

Ben,
Thanks for the picture, it was exactly what I was looking for. The picture was very dark and hard to make out clearly, but if you take the picture, and open it in paint, you can then go to the image tab, and in the drop down menu select invert colors. It makes all the dark areas light, and vice versa. Try it with that picture, and youll be surprised at the clarity and definition you get. I use this trick all the time with bad images on the forum.

By the way, I just realized that are cars are siblings. I have 3640 to your 3641.

Thanks again

Jeff E.
