When I received my Thunderbird rear end, I discovered I was short one of the bearings on the inner plunge joint and a second was ruined. I later managed to lose two more bearings. (I will not bore you with how I lost the other two.) Now I need to come by four of these bearings. Do you know how to get them without buying two axles from Ford?

Fred:
The inner plunge joint on my '93T-bird rear had only one roller bearing inside the center unit per side.
I was able to replace those easily, along with the plunge joint seal.
I believe these are the parts you are referring to,you can get just these parts from your Ford dealer.
The seal is part no. E9SZ*4B416*A I paid $13.48 / piece, the inner roller bearing is part number F65Z*4b413*A1A and it costs $16.01 / piece.
Hope this helps you.

Dyne-O-Myte!

Thanks, Paul. You just saved me a ton of money. I had been told I would have to buy two whole new axles.

Is the internet great or what?

Within a few minutes I receive the information needed to get me past a tough spot in my build and then I order the stuff I need right online!

I got two seals and six bearings for $83.76 at www.oem-car-parts.com.

Thanks again, Paul.
