I had the 1990 engine rebuilt with some modifications
>E303 Cam
>bored 30 over
>MSD Ignition
>Roller rockers
I'm about to route the vacuum hoses..Until I read that people are removing the Charcoal canister and the entire vacuum hose??? now the question..

Should I also remove these things or not..
Please advise???????

No expert here but I kept all my donor systems intact for emmissions reasons. Better safe .....

you'll need it if ya gotta do emissions...i'm not an expert but i did stay and a quality suite last night

If you can stand the sight of the thing, it doesn't hurt to leave it. There's no performance advantage in taking it off. There's no change to the tailpipe emissions in taking it off either. The only thing you're gonna do is allow raw gas vapor to vent directly to the atmosphere. Some guys have noted a gas smell in their garage from the vapors out of the vent. Most guys stick a filter on the end of the vent hose to prevent that.
