I'm at the point with my MK IV build that I need hood hinges to replace the pins. Pro and cons for the FFR product and the Breeze automotive set...

I've done cars with both. With my apologies to Mark I greatly prefer the FFR hinges. The Breeze hinges bring the hood out and over the nose through an arc which forces a larger gap at the front than I prefer so that the hood doesn't pinch. Also if you don't improvise travel stops can allow the hood to open wide enough to contact the body.

FFR hinges are fiddly but work very well. Get them right in primer and Pin them so you wont have to mess with them too much after paint. 20k mi and the hood closes and lays perfect.

With Breeze hinges a 3/16" gap can easily be maintained if the hood edges are rolled.
And I never liked the way the FFR hinge forces the front edge of the hood into the hood opening. just my opinion.
