Did you drill the holes or did it come pre-drilled?

Sounds like they drilled the holes too large. Easy fix. Just JB weld a blank piece to the back and redrill. Or call FFR and see if they'll trade for a blank dash

Rough up the aluminum before the JB Weld or it wont stick. I've had things just fall off with no help (like getting hit or something)

I would just call Jason ASAP with the issue. Worst thing is you have is a lost weekend but I'm sure you got other stuff to do.

Regards

If the holes are close to the right size, the padding and cover may make up the difference.

With the baby on the way,you have all kinds of waiting time for the proper dash/guages to come! Congratulations! If you can stay awake, you'll be working the night shift!

IMO, don't cobble up your car with JBweld just because a vendor messed up. Take it up with FFR, they'll take care of it. Also, do yourself a favor and swap that smallish speedo and tach for the 5" versions, looks better and easier to read.

The dash is CNC laser cut so it is not a possibility that "they drilled the holes too large". In addition to the fully cut holes which are sized for the complete kit's Speedhut gauges (along with clearance for the pad & vinyl) there is also a partial cut which is for a donor gauge set. These rings can be pushed out by hand with a little effort. See the cut line that the arrows are pointing to here:

Are those still intact in the dash? Sounds like not. Maybe you removed them inadvertantly or perhaps FFR had a return that had them removed and it got repackaged and sent to you  Just curious to determine how you wound up in this predicament although it really doesn't matter; if the holes are now too large you'll have to address the problem.

Did you take into account the dash pad. It will make the inside Dia. smaller
