1989 LX Donor Engine (135,000 miles) - Runs Great - Looks Crappy

[/IMG]

After some elbow grease....I finished up and drove last season on this. (Just cleaned it up and painted it). A little smoke out of the pipes but it ran strong (all stock)

Off season projects (Paint the body & Rebuild the drive train)

Edelbrock Performer Heads
Ford Racing B303 Cam
Ford Racing Cobra Intake
BBK 65mm Throttle Body
EGR Delete
New Rings
New Bearings
New Timing Chain & Sprockets
New Roller Followers
Some Dress-Up

Thanks to Mike Forte for most of the parts. Great Guy

I might be way off, abut mounting the coil that close to a heat source might lead to trouble. I mounted my coil on the F panel. Pete

Nice engine. Do you have any idea how much horsepower? I've got the same set up in mine, but with stock heads. I haven't had a chance to get mine checked.

Very nice! Version 3.0 ought to be a night and day difference. That's the exact intake I will eventually be running. Let us know if you get to a dyno!

Thanks for the great comments:

the HP should be around 300 and the coil is suspended out in space with a bracket (contacts no hot surface)

The elbow grease seems to be the only tool the kids haven't taken and lost yet.

Cheers
