I think everyone building a cobra comes to this question. Let me first say i built 2 FFR's with mustang tanks, i always had some concern about rear accidents on the street. I work for Ford but i think everyone owes it to themselves to read the documents at this site.

web page

Look under the rear ended yellow mustang.

Im not trying to scare anyone, just go read, make an informed decision for yourself and feel better about it. I love cobras, a fuelsafe cell will be in my next one probably.

i would say a fuel cell is probably safer than the stock tank, but costs more.

a mustang is a much safer car than an FFR cobra.

staying home has its risks too. =)

Fuel Cell is pretty good but I was a bit disapointed by the fit and quality of the brackets. I would really like to replace them with stainless steel. Any volonteers ?
