I'll be mounting the IRS Knuckles and spindles this weekend and I'm wondering If they have to go on specific sides or do I switch them so I can mount the brake calipers towards the front in case I want to add a sway bar at a later date?
Thanks
Tom

I'm doing the same thing this weekend. They go either way so you don't HAVE to do one way or the other, but several posts say to mount forward for the swaybar... just makes the e-brake cable more of a challenge from what I've read.
You probably know this, but make sure the top bushings are installed correctly either way since they're asymmetric.

I'd mount them with the calipers facing forwards, this way you can always add the sway bar later, besides, it really cleans up the rear suspension too.
Have a good one!

"Snakeboy"(Paul) did this on his build and it's really clean, I'd bet he would send you a couple of Pics of it if you ask.

The VPM sway bar only needs the calipers forward if you have pin-drive length control arms. For the Escort bar I don't think it matters and any other sway bar is however you design it. I would not make the ebrake difficult unless I had a firm reason to do so. I don't think it changes the look in any significant way.
