I know to mount a VPI front sway bar on a Mark III chassis you have to cut the new front tow hooks off.

Has anyone done this mod yet ? Pictures ?

Any other front sway bars that do not require the tow hook mod ?

Thanks Charlie

I did it when building my MKIII. Cut off the hooks and ground the front of the plate flat. Had the brackets welded on and off I went to the powder coater.

Charlie,
I just did mine on friday. I used my sawzall with a "torch" blade. If you cut close to the tube you don't have to do much grinding. It took two blades and about 15 minutes. It was easy to do. I painted them with por-15. It matches well with the powder coating. Sorry I didn't take any pictures.

Thanks guys .

I am going with Gordon Levy's front suspension that will require the tie downs to be removed as well.

Sounds like no big deal.

FWIW (if you didn't take delivery of your FFR kit yet) I had FFR NOT weld the tow hooks to the front of my frame. So I'm good for mounting the sway bar without surgery. They sent me the unattached tow hooks, I'll try to use em somewhere else on the frame
