Is the MK III a better body?

Does the MK III body require less body prep than the MK II?

I have heard that the prep time for the MK II body is high. It seems that it may make sense to spend a little more and buy a better body from Tristate Motors (below) which should in turn reduce the cost of the prep time.

Any suggestions or thoughts?

Prep time on the MkII IS HIGH....took me about 6 weeks to get ready for primer....another two to sand after priming , and another two weeks to paint and finish.....
I don't know about the MKIII ,but if you are wanting to build a car , the body work is part of the building....Good luck with your project.

There's a recent thread saying the Tri State's Body requires the most work of any. And this is coming from one of our resident expert painters.

I would bet the MK III requires a little less than the MK II but not much. In any case, the MK II bodywork isn't a big deal, everyone's pretty fond of blowing it way out of proportion.
