The donor that I chose did not have the black flex tube that connects from the mass air meter to the throttle body. The two local ford dealers can not get it. Any ideas or suggestions on how to make a tube? Maybe even purchase?

There should be a lot of them out there, guys that switched over to carbs--you could probably get someone to give it to you for the shipping.

There are some aftermarket nice, formed aluminum tubes I've seen, not sure who makes'em--C&L maybe?

Is this what you mean:

I found it on pro-flow.com , but they want $94 for it.
 I don't think it's worth that, maybe I'm reading it wrong. They call it a "Prod TB Hose".

Did you try a local junk yard?

You might also try stangparts.com . They don't list the part, but I'm sure they have it.

58VW, I have a tube you can have for the cost of shipping. Let me know via email. It is freshly cleaned and painted.

I bought a very sweet chrome tube from Tiny Avenger in CA. I think their website is tinyavenger.com. The tube was about $80.
