I was hoping to build this one with my daughter, but now have the GT40 bug (REAL BAD), so we agreed to sell it to help the "40-fund".

It is an early Manta Montage (McLaren M6GT replica) that once sat on a VW pan, but now has a brand new tubeframe chassis for it.

Here is what is included:
complete montage body,

complete set of windows, (w/glass windshield)

just finished tubeframe set up for V8& porsche transaxle,

porsche 915 transaxle from a 78 911 (if I remember right)

brand new in box, Kennedy Engineering adapter plate/flywheel kit to mount Buick 215 to porsche trans axle

disassembled Buick 215 all aluminum V8 with a pair of very sought after 64 alum 300 heads (the hi-po head to have for these engines)

plastic "summit" fuel cell

hardback book on building a hi-perf Buick/Rover motor

a bunch of little misc parts.

Now, here's the deal,,,,,,you need to come & get it- becuase I'm not going through all the trouble to ship it. BUT, since I'm gonna make you drive to Kansas to pick it up, you can take it all home for $3500 bucks!

Alain,

Is that the car that was in the TV show Hardcastle and McCormic? I loved that car. Just curious. Good luck selling it. I wish I could afford both a FFR and your car.

Yes, they used a montage in that show. I even have a model of it that will go with the car.

I've had a ton of e-mail "interest" in the car,(like 12 e-mails in one day!) but no one has made a deposit yet.

I am just trying to get enough for it to cover the shipping on a GT40 kit.

I paid 3800 for the frame, and 600 for the trans!
Have over 2000 in the body,not counting all of the other parts I have,,,,,I am selling it for less than half of what I have in it.

Ok- I've been answering e-mails and making phone calls all over the country about this thing, and none of the supposed "deposits" sent on it have shown up.
YES- it does have a title and was tagged at one time. This is NOT something you'll have running in a week end, but all the hard to find stuff is already there.

The frame is set up to take ford mustang 2 front suspension, and olds toronado hubs in the rear.

I DO NOT want to play the e-bay "wide world of flakes" game,,,,so here's the deal......

I'll let it go for $3200 !

A $500 dollar deposit will hold it for you for about a month, so you can make arrangements to pick it up. I'll help load & should all fit in a U-haul box truck or trailer.

well I haven't put it on e-bay yet,,,,,,,actually hate to because I don't want to spend hundreds of hours answering stupid questions and dealing with dreamers.

Since I'll be needing a motor for my GT40, I'll consider 5.0/302 short block or long block as partial trade.
If you got an extra motor and are interested in the Manta, gimme a call & maybe we can work something out?
