I've heard of this being done, is this something that most engine machine shops will tackle? I've heard alot of stories about 2 piece seals leaking, and being a hit or miss on getting them to seal.

Follow directions , offset the seal , never had a problem with small block fords . Make sure your crankcase is vented well and/or you have a PCV valve . Crankcase pressure is what can make them leak.

If you go 2 piece, don't forget to remove the pin from the seal area on the rear main cap.
